Title: New To Map Making
Post by: Lazy Chestnut on September 02, 2018, 04:06:24 pm
Hello. I'm new to the board. I'm running Windows 10 and am trying to use the map editor. I'm going through the tutorial and the maps I make won't be recognized by the game, and if I try doing the renderfx it also appears to corrupt the game and i have to reinstall it. I'm running version 1.2, with the hybrid map mod and HU Corner Mod Pack. Is it a compatibility issue or am I doing something wrong?

Are the .spk files being saved to the custom folder? I ran into the issue with windows 7. It said the spk was successful but when I opened the game I wouldn't find the map. Come to find out I had to run level editor as administrator to save to the custom folder.

It's saving to the level folder. no spk file, but the .ter file and other files are there. The editors sample level also shows up and plays in the game.

Figured at least part of it out. Looks like it had issues with the profile file when generating the spk. see if i can get the renderfx to work now without crashing the game.
